Earlier this year I stumbled upon some guided meditation videos on YouTube. I had never really mediated before and I found these videos to be helpful to my relaxation. From there, I decided I wanted to know more. I wanted to learn how to meditate on my own, without searching YouTube for a suitable video. That’s when I found Project Mindfulness.
Project Mindfulness is an online platform that offers mindfulness & mediation courses. One of their introductory courses is “Learn to Achieve Access Concentration“. Never heard of it before? Neither had I. I was intrigued. I decided to take a leap and give it a try.

Learn to Achieve Access Concentration
Project Mindfulness broke up the Access Concentration course into 14 sessions. Each session goes over certain aspects of access concentration and gives you steps to help develop each aspect. The presenter is very informative and typically dives into the ‘hows’ and ‘whys’ of each skill you need to master this. Most of the sessions have an exercise piece to help you put the skill to practice in a guided format.
The sessions are a mixture of video presentations & passages of reading. Even though the video presentations cover much of the materials in the written passages, the written passages are a helpful reference tool.

The Project Mindfulness platform for presenting the Access Concentration course makes the process easier too. Each session is check marked when you complete it & if you log out and come back another day the system picks up right where you left off. Remember I mentioned the reading passages? If you come back after a few days, I recommend jumping back to your last completed section to skim over the reading materials. It’s helpful in getting you back into the mindset of the course.
