I struggled with cystic acne for years. Around 3 years ago, with the help of an awesome dermatologist I got my skin/acne under control with medication. Once my active acne issues were under control, I turned my attention to getting my scars erased. I’ve invested tons of money in different products and treatments and here are the things that helped me the most.

Today I am going to dive into the treatment, products and lifestyle tips that have helped me most in my quest to erase my acne scars.

Acne Scaring Treatments
Fractionated Laser Skin Resurfacing
The Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing treatment is the most expensive treatment and produced the most dramatic results. I had this treatment two separate times at Juvly Aesthetics and paid about $400 for each treatment (I am a member so I receive 20% off all laser treatments). Go check out my post all about my first treatment HERE.
Microneedling
I recommend microneedling to every for just about every skin concern. Remember when coconut oil was the answer to every thing? Microneedling = same. Acne scars? Wrinkles? Stretch marks? Large pores? Texture concerns? All of these concerns can be addressed with microneedling. I get my microneedling treatments done at Juvly Aesthetics and pay between $150 & $600; depending on what version I choose, for each treatment (I am a member so I receive $100 off all microneedling treatments).

Lifestyle Tips While Treating Acne Scaring
Wear Sunscreen
Getting tanned or burned can make your scars darken and it will make it harder to erase them. Also, the treatments & products mentioned are going to make your skin more susceptible to sunburn so you need to be using protection and also avoiding sunlight post treatment.
Maintain a Routine
If you’re trying to erase acne scars, you want to make sure you’re doing everything in your power to keep your skin clear. Keeping up with your skin care routine; morning & night, is going to help keep your skin clear.
